Duties:Essential Functions
1. Represent the Credit Union to the members in a courteous and professional manner and provide prompt, efficient, and accurate service in the processing of transactions.
2. Provide in person and by telephone, general and specific service-related information concerning Credit Union services or policies.
3. Open new accounts and service existing accounts. Set up new account files and provide members with all necessary information for membership. Assist members in balancing their accounts. Research and resolve member account problems.
4. Handle requests from members for transfers of shares to loan payments, share withdrawals, check requests, line of credit advances and any other requests received from members.
5. Maintain advanced knowledge and cross-sell all credit union products and services with emphasis on automation including alternative financial planning services.
6. Distribute loan applications and/or information to members and prospective members and convert each member contact to an appropriate marketing opportunity.
7. Gather information on loan applicants. Pull credit reports on applicants. Complete worksheets to determine eligibility. Verify employment of persons applying for loans.
8. Interview loan applicants. Assist members with the loan application process to ensure completeness of information. Approve loans within established guidelines. Expedite loan applications outside their authority to next higher level for approval. Provide and explain to members accurate disclosure information regarding loans. Close loans with members and refer file to proper personnel for booking.
9. Gather and analyze membership data and make appropriate service/product opportunities available to members in compliance with credit union guidelines and that offer the best value and benefit to the member.
10. Must obtain State of Wyoming Insurance License Series 12-39 within the first 90 days of employment.
11. Provide debt counseling when necessary for members in an effort to secure debt consolidation loan or to help loan eligibility.

Qualifications:A high school education, at least two years of experience in a retail environment of a credit union or other financial institution, or the equivalent combination of schooling and related experience is required. Experience in loan interviewing, marketing, member service, and sales preferred.
