Description:
Position Summary: The staff within the Operations Department provides knowledgeable and timely support to the credit union team. We take initiative to make improvements to operational procedures and processes to enhance the work environment and member experience. The Operations Department staff supports and administers Account Services, Business Services, Card Services, Payment Services and Document Management. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

· Under general supervision, provides centralized member service to the credit union branches by answering questions from branch employees and other team members who call into Payment Services. Serves as a resource to branch employees and members by responding to a broad range of questions and conducting research about ACH transactions, ACH exceptions, and ACH disputes.
· Under general supervision, processes and supports all duties related to ACH processing and returns.
·Ensures all ACH items are posted to accounts and any returns are transmitted in a timely manner in accordance with NACHA rules.
·Ensures ACH returns are in balance and returned in a timely manner in accordance with NACHA rules.
·Ensures all ACH disputes are processed in a timely manner in accordance with NACHA rules.
·Ensures all employee paper payroll EFT records are created, balanced and posted in a timely manner in accordance with credit union payroll.
·Reconciles the applicable general ledger accounts associated with processing ACH.
·Completes and finalizes all service requests as it relates to ACH.
·Processes all transactions with minimal errors and within the prescribed time frame.
Qualifications:Education Requirements: Equivalent to a two-year college degree, completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school, or demonstrated experience within financial institutions.

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:

·Minimum 6 months recent ACH experience or minimum 1 year financial institution experience
·Proficient verbal and written communication skills are essential for this position.
·Must have an ability to deal with sensitive situations and resolve member issues with courtesy, professionalism and integrity.
·Must be detail orientated.
·Basic knowledgeable of ACH policies and guidelines – must obtain ACH Certification designation.
·Requires basic knowledge of procedures and regulations within the department.
·Requires basic knowledge to perform general ledger reconciliations.
·Requires basic understanding of NACHA rules and guidelines as it pertains to processing ACH.
