Description: Scope of Position
Responsible for closing profitable sales transactions through researching sales leads, obtaining knowledge of customer organizations, developing customer relationships, building strong business relationships with prospective partners and generating new member account relationships. Create alliances by promoting the many benefits of credit union membership and corporate alignment with Elevations Credit Union.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Manage the relationship and sales process with all current and prospective SEG’s and University of Colorado contacts. Create new SEG and University alliances that will serve as beachheads for maintaining long-term relationships and heightened recognition in the market areas we serve.

Achieve goals associated with new member acquisition and SEG acquisition.

Leverage knowledge, contacts, experience, and market research to discover, pursue, and convert alliance opportunities in the market areas we serve. Seek sponsorship opportunities that will create a greater recognition and awareness of Elevations Credit Union within the business and general communities. Creates business relationships that bring a mutual benefit to the partner and the credit union

Compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads, based on information from own professional network, industry ads, trade shows, Internet Web sites, newspapers, business directories, and other sources.

Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.

Expectations

To aggressively seek and develop new business opportunities consistent with the Credit Union’s profit, ROA, and member growth objectives through a planned prospecting strategy, including a call program, referral sources, and an understanding of the markets we serve.

To manage all Business Development operations including management reporting, statistical compilation and assimilation of membership expansion groups.

To develop and implement an on-going tracking and reporting process relating to SEG and University research, market penetration, and contacts.

To manage a schedule of SEG, University, and business calls, activities, and efforts, directed towards acquiring new SEG’s and creating and creating new member account relationships.

To lead in all Credit Union sales activities through attendance at SEG, University, and business community events.

To maintain a thorough knowledge of all credit union products, services, and programs.

Duties:Education:
•A Bachelor's degree or equivalent plus a minimum of 5 years
Interpersonal Skills:
•A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact.
•Work involves extensive personal contact with others and/or can be of a personal or sensitive nature. Work involves motivating and influencing others
•Outside contacts become important and fostering sound relationships with other entities (companies and/or individuals) becomes necessary.
•Relies on professional experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals. Performs a variety of complicated tasks. Leads and directs the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.

Other Skills:
•Ability to design and present an effective sales presentation and speak comfortably in front of groups, large and small.
•Knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Access, Excel and PowerPoint, and GroupWise
•Be Internet savvy for use, research and as a tool.
•A sales mentality and entrepreneurial approach for developing outside relationships beneficial and inline with organizational and business strategies.
