|Description:||Role: The Document Management Specialist I is responsible for completing org-wide document scanning while performing quality control verification on all applications. Adhere to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act. Major Duties and Responsibilities: |
•Responsible for completing member and account document scanning in a timely manner. This includes membership applications, loan documentation, member correspondence, legal documentation, tax documentation, business documentation and agreements and much more.
•Completes thorough quality control verification on all documents imaged to ensure clarity, accuracy and that the record retention requirements of the Credit Union are met.
•Provides support including but not limited to: data gathering, reports, shredding and filing.
•Assists co-workers and other departments with research and resolution of problems.
•Assists with basic machine maintenance and helps with troubleshooting processes as needed.
•Performs other duties and scanning projects as assigned.
1.Provides professional, personal, accurate service with a positive attitude towards members, both internal and external.
2.Remains flexible and supportive as departmental needs arise. Treats all employees of the Credit Union with respect, courtesy and an open mind.
3.Understands procedures and requirements for basic record retention with regards to financial institutions.
4.Exhibits sound decision-making and judgment, knowing when to ask support staff for assistance.
5.Adapts well to change and is passionate about finding new ways to solve business needs and improve efficiencies.
6.Acts as a team player within the various departments and branches throughout the organization.
7.Continually works to become more proficient and knowledgeable within the department.
Knowledge and Skills:
Experience: Six months to two years of similar or related experience.
Education: Equivalent to a high school education.
Interpersonal Skills: Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail; Good verbal and written communication skills; Courtesy, tact, and diplomacy; Ability to deal with sensitive situations and information while maintaining a professional demeanor Other Skills: Data entry; Computer skills such as Word, Xcel, Internet
