|Description:|| Position Summary: Supports key Elevations business applications by supervising a team of IT professionals in the IT Business Applications team. Provides leadership and technical guidance. Oversees resource needs and ensures achievement of business goals. The Business Applications Supervisor has a broad understanding of the full architecture stack, business functions, application development, business intelligence development, and support processes and leads a team responsible for one or more of those disciplines. Able to communicate effectively on a wide variety of IT topics. Adheres to all Federal and State laws and regulations governing applicable to the Credit Union, including the Bank Secrecy Act.|
Major Duties and Responsibilities
Leads the overall functional planning in the area of resource estimates, cost, scheduling, and technical risks for solution. Leads multiple projects and oversees technical staff to ensure that business needs are supported. Develops and reviews team assignments and criteria and provides direction to team members, suppliers, and contractors. Accountable for department or functional work products and for the impact of the results on organizational activities. Supports critical business strategies by supervising the implementation, vendor coordination, and maintenance of IT applications.
Understands and applies a broad knowledge systems analysis, application development, and application support. Is knowledgeable of industry products and methodologies. Effectively negotiates with team to implement technical solutions. Provides technical guidance and mentorship. Formulates and maintains a robust business applications environment corresponding with industry standards.
Supervises team members. This person will be responsible for completing and administering performance reviews as well as oversee and schedule IT personnel related training. Improves and ensures that IT processes, procedures, and best practices are being used by staff. Holds the staff accountable and ensures the credit union infrastructure is being proactively addressed.
Works closely with IT management to execute IT business plan. Performs service management (establishes service level agreements (SLAs) and ensures SLA / customer satisfaction targets are being addressed). Promotes continuous business process alignment.
Internal subject matter expert on IT solutions to facilitate business process changes.
Supports business applications (including our core system); performs triage on incidents, troubleshoots issues, and resolves incidents while communicating with stakeholders.
Performs planned maintenance (e.g., application upgrades, releases, enhancements, service packs, etc.) on applications and underlying infrastructure (e.g., AIX operating system).
Work closely with suppliers to ensure successful software or hardware implementation and support.
Provides superior customer service while managing relationships with end users, business leaders, and others to ensure service delivery exceeds expectations.
Utilizes sound development life cycle practices, adheres to established processes, and documents delivery of application solutions (including business analysis, design, testing, implementation, support, and decommissioning). Performs changes according to process, teamwork, and best practices for IT Change Management. Documents change, facilitates architecture review, plans and schedules change, coordinates with stakeholders, conducts testing, ensures training needs are addressed, and plans for roll-back in the event that roll-back is needed.
Contributes technical knowledge and understanding of applications to training programs, support processes, and operating procedures.

On-Call Support Typically requires after-hours on-call support on a rotating basis or training of on-call team.
Project Management Able to execute multiple complex projects within required timelines and expectations.
Relationship Management Excellent communication, influence, and relationship management skills required.
Analysis Demonstrated conceptual thinking and analytical skills.
Regulatory Requirements Knowledge of and compliance with Financial Institution regulatory requirements.
IT Knowledge Brings emerging technology trends to the organization; educates and informs colleagues.
Education Requirements: 4 year college degree or equivalent work experience; B.S., Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
5 or more years of experience with systems analysis, testing procedures, report writing, systems design, system development, business process management or equivalent processes.
A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required, in addition to normal courtesy and tact. Scope of work will include access to sensitive data and financial perspectives requiring extreme confidentiality. Communication may involve motivating or influencing organizational leaders.
Additional skills required fundamental understanding of and experience with at least 2 of the following functional areas or applications: Retail Operations, Lending Operations, Financial Backoffice Operations, Jack Henry technologies (specifically Episys), Synapsys, Synergy, Image Teller Capture, MeridianLink OpeningAct, MeridianLink LoansPQ, PCLender, ProfitStars, Raddon MCIF.
Prefer 5 or more years of experience supporting business applications within a financial institution.
Prefer 5 or more years of experience with Episys
Prefer 5 or more years of application development and SQL development with relational databases.
Prefer familiarity with the Unix operating system, Unix shell scripting, Python, or similar.
