Description:Position Summary: The Business Analyst II provides guidance and consulting to business process owners in the disciplines of Business Process Management (BPM), Business Project Requirements and Knowledge Management (KM). Business Analyst II has a good working knowledge of business analysis, BABOK Guide knowledge of related Tasks and Techniques, and repeated experience performing same. A Business Analyst II will be able to perform without close supervision and possesses the planning skills required to enable he or she to deal with complex issues or resolve conflicting priorities. He or she practices independently. However, this individual may at times have difficulty troubleshooting in complex situations and may seek out advice from more senior analysts.

This person is capable of using a standardized procedure to produce acceptable results in BA endeavors and is able to plan towards longer-term goals. The Business Analyst II is able to complete most steps of a task (component of endeavor) using own judgment and work towards completion of an overall endeavor (project) on his or her own. However, guidance or assistance may be needed in more complex or large endeavors. This person is able to see and evaluate the prescribed methodology, rules, guidelines (BPM, PM, KM) and is able to propose alternatives when appropriate. The Business Analyst II employs strong facilitation and communication skills to liaison and influence stakeholders to achieve the stated outcomes of a task, project, process or other BA endeavor.
•Elicits, analyzes, documents and prioritizes business requirements through informal and formal facilitation of cross-functional teams
•Manages requirements documentation and repositories
•Models requirements to define solution and scope of an endeavor
•Facilitates project stakeholders and/or business unit leaders in capturing and validating business requirements that meet organizational business needs and goals
•Assists in development of business case to define initiatives of cross-functional work
•Trains and leads others in developing and deploying measurable business processes aligned with organizational goals
•Provides knowledge assets governance ensuring quality, stable content is available in reference desk
•Ensures business asset documentation standards are employed and audited
•Provides training and coaching to deploy processes, procedures and projects in alignment with the BPM standards
•Identifies, evaluates, and defines scope of proposed solutions to business problems
•Ability to troubleshoot situations and guide stakeholders to consensus solutions
•Ability to assess business problems and identify root cause

Education Requirements: BA or BS, certification strongly preferred but not required (CCBA or CBAP)

Knowledge, Experience and Skill Requirements:
•2-3 years of demonstrated experience as a Business Analyst
•Experience in building processes, procedures and/or project work
