Description:Credit Union of the Rockies is looking for an innovative leader for our corporate retail branch! This position would be responsible for the overall management of retail banking-related activities within our Jefferson County area, including sales and service, expense controls, community leadership, human resource management, and meeting financial compliance standards. This position provides operational support to branch personnel as needed. Develops, implements, communicates and manages branch-related policies and procedures while maintaining a positive sales and service culture. Responsible for implementing short and long term strategic planning goals for assigned areas. Reports to the Assistant Vice President of Retail Operations.
Duties:DUTIES

Manage direct reports to maximize productivity and efficiency. This includes: hiring, directing job assignments, monitoring staff performance, coaching, counseling, training, assuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational mission, values, policies and work rules. Appraise performance and provide recommendations for staff compensation, promotion, and termination, as appropriate. Serves as the primary representative for all projects directly or indirectly related to branch support or branches. Oversees and completes all projects as assigned and will keep senior management apprised of all critical issues.

Assures that the growth and development of the member product and services portfolio occurs through methods including but not limited to: outbound member on boarding, SEG events, local chambers and community development opportunities, etc. Troubleshoots and resolves internal and external inquiries. Including counseling member-base regarding their financial needs and services as requested.

Ensures personnel are well trained in all of their respective jobs. Completes orientation of new employees in overall branch procedures. Actively participates in cross-training personnel and assures staff is kept abreast of all products and services. Monitor branch trends in lending and deposit operations closely in order to feed research and development activities to senior management. Assures that the company\'s products, services, and processes are remaining competitive. Pursues cost-saving measures.

Serves as backup to branch personnel positions as/if needed. Ensures all branch transactions are balanced at the close of each day. Oversees individual accountability for handling of cash and assists in resolving balancing problems. Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control, in addition to all company policies.
Qualifications:QUALIFICATIONS

You\'re passionate about sales and have an understanding of the operational pieces of credit unions and you\'re eager to share that passion with others. You\'re willing to learn and embrace the guidelines behind Credit Union of the Rockies unique style of concierge service. You have strong people and coaching skills - you\'re approachable, a good listener, and empathetic. Strong interest in technology, particularly Microsoft products, and have agility in learning new products and features. Ability to deliver great member experiences in any environment and to be invigorated by constant personal interaction. Strong communication skills that let you converse as freely and comfortably with small groups as with individual members.

Experience: Two to five years of similar or related experience, including time spent in preparatory positions.

Education/Certifications/Licenses: A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school.

Interpersonal Skills: A significant level of trust and diplomacy is required to be an effective subject matter expert in the position. In-depth dialogues, conversations and explanations with customers, direct and indirect reports and outside vendors of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature is a normal part of the day-to-day experience. Communications can involve motivating, influencing, educating and/or advising others on matters of significance.

Other Skills: Ability to perform basic and complex financial calculations. Ability to interpret policies, procedures, regulations, and laws as it pertains to areas within your responsibility. Understanding and knowledge of credit union operations, business practices, products, services, philosophy and goals.

Ability to read and write in English. Knowledge of grammar, punctuation and spelling rules.

Ability to work under pressure with flexibility. Detail-oriented with the ability to coordinate a variety of activities and projects and simultaneously prioritize tasks and meet deadlines with minimum supervision. Must be a self-starter with the ability to perform detailed work accurately.

Works well independently, and as part of a team. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but involved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Knowledgeable of computer system concepts and methods, and spreadsheet and word processing software programs using Microsoft products. Familiar with data entry. Using Windows in a network environment. Basic knowledge of filing systems.

Physical Requirements: is able to bend, sit, and stand in order to perform primarily sedentary work with limited physical exertion and occasional lifting of up to 10 lbs. Must be capable of climbing / descending stairs in an emergency situation. Must be able to operate routine office equipment including computer terminals and keyboards, telephones, copiers, facsimiles, and calculators. Must be able to routinely stand and perform work on computer for an average of 6 to 8 hours per day, when necessary. Must be able to work extended hours or travel off-site whenever required or requested by management. Must be capable of regular, reliable and timely attendance.

Working Conditions: Must be able to routinely perform work indoors in climate-controlled shared work area with minimal noise.

Mental and/or Emotional Requirements: Must be able to perform job functions independently or with limited supervision and work effectively either on own or as part of a team. Must be able to read and carry out various written instructions and follow oral instructions. Must be able to complete basic mathematical calculations, spell accurately, and understand computer basics. Must be able to speak clearly and deliver information in a logical and understandable sequence. Must be capable of dealing calmly and professionally with numerous different personalities from diverse cultures at various levels within and outside of the organization and demonstrate the highest levels of customer service and discretion when dealing with the public. Must be able to perform responsibilities with composure under the stress of deadlines / requirements for extreme accuracy and quality and/or fast pace. Must be able to effectively handle multiple, simultaneous, and changing priorities. Must be capable of exercising the highest level of discretion on both internal and external confidential matters.

Vision Demands: Employees are regularly required to use close, color and peripheral vision and the ability to adjust focus.
