The lead marketing specialist will effectively describe and promote the organization and its products and services across a variety of channels, while adhering to brand guidelines and regulatory requirements. This work involves a complex series of steps, including conceptualizing, organizing, writing, editing, designing, and reporting. Responsible for management of department projects and general oversight of the marketing plan. Suggests changes in strategy or service provided to respond to market conditions. Develops and implements marketing strategies to meet organizational goals and the strategic plan. Must possess thorough SCU product and service knowledge, and support sales and service standards and efforts. Must be able to work independently and as a team member and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
Duties:Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

Reviews, edits and monitors campaigns and projects for the department. Allocates resources to meet operational needs within the department and assists in overseeing work flows.

Responsible for analysis of marketing statistics for the marketing plan, making recommendations to the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, when required. Tracks, measures, and reports marketing efforts. In coordination with the Vice President of Marketing and Business Development, contributes to the marketing plan, including goals and budget.

Develops promotional strategies, differentiating product messaging and clear messaging of value proposition to meet marketing goals. Works with Creative Marketing Specialist to develop promotional and support materials and ensures compliance review on all.

Develops public relations efforts with press releases, speeches, scripts, financial education content and seminars, event management and monitoring reputation online and through social media.

Manages Marketing Credit Information File (MCIF) program to provide market analysis, member trends, and data for strategic planning, as needed. Responsible for developing lists for direct mail, email, etc.

Responsible for maintaining high product knowledge by determining and finding opportunities for learning and sharing new products and market trends and enhancements for existing products and services. Maintains technical knowledge by attending workshops; reviewing professional publications; participating in professional societies.

Represents the credit union at various functions to develop business and marketing relationships.

Performs other related duties as assigned.
