Description:We have a Member Service Rep position available in our Grand Junction Branch. Do you have previous cash handling and sales experience? Sooper Credit Union has a part-time position opening for an outgoing, enthusiastic and friendly Member Services Representative for our Grand Junction branch office. You’ll provide strong client services and will work closely with the membership of Sooper Credit Union to create and provide a compelling credit union experience. In addition, you’ll fulfill an important role responsible for building strong rapport our customers (who we call “members” of Sooper Credit Union), cross selling additional products and services to members, performing teller transactions in accordance with all Sooper Credit Union policies and procedures, balancing a cash drawer, opening new accounts and all other services relating to the Credit Union’s operations. In this role, you’ll be responsible to work a varying and flexible 22-plus hours per week schedule between the hours of 11:00 a.m.-5:15 p.m. Mon-Thurs; and to 6:30 pm on Friday. You will also have the assignment to work some Saturdays from 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.
Duties:Member Services Representative -Tellers recommend services and products to our members. The also process our members’ financial transactions accurately, efficiently with a good audit trail within Sooper CU guidelines and policies. They assure appropriate records are maintained and required reports/tasks processed. Maintain and process member account/loan information on computer system. We pride ourselves in providing exceptional member service
Qualifications:Previous cash handling experience is required, with sales and cross-selling experience and other financial institution experience preferred. Given the expectations of our members, the successful candidate will be accurate and detail oriented. We support a strong customer service environment and a member-customer base. Thus, strong sales and service skills are required, and the ability to be punctual with a record of strong attendance, and a service-orientation that displays a cooperative and positive attitude. As a strong team player, you’ll have the ability to tactfully ask probing questions to determine members’ needs and offer products and services to meet these needs.
