Duties:Summary/Objective:

Elevations Credit Union, a leading Colorado financial institution, is seeking a Chief of Staff to the CIO who has strong experience successfully driving complex strategies and projects, outstanding cross group organizational skills, strong communication skills (verbal and written), and proven program management skills. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally within technology to develop and manage resource plans, enabling the teams to execute and innovate at high speed and high quality.

You will need to understand industry trends and product strategy to best influence our organization backlog and cascade out to the team. You should enjoy working under pressure in a deadline oriented environment, and be flexible, open-minded, with the ability to manage ambiguity and uncertainty, which are important for success in this role. The role will exercise and develop your general management skills, partnering with and supporting the IT Leadership Team. You’ll be a vital, trusted member of this tight-knit team, an exemplar of cultural alignment and the highest professional standards. Finally, on behalf of the CIO, you’ll be serving as a program manager for key projects, driving both the strategic vision and project execution forward.

Essential Functions Include:

-Drive key projects as required by the CIO and leadership team including customer engagements, budgetary planning, business analysis and organizational changes.
-Structure headcount, financial budgeting and reporting in partnership with CIO, Finance and budget owners.
-Orchestrate and facilitate team meetings, presentations, meeting agendas, logistics, and follow-ups both within IT and across ECU.
-Drive communications focused on reinforcement of the team’s mission, strategy, culture and progress and employee engagement.
-Facilitate organization excellence by synthesizing team feedback, working on development, diversity and leadership initiatives and acting as a sounding board for all levels of the team.
-Represent the CIO at forums and internal meetings when he cannot be present.
-Financial control - in conjunction with the team - understand the complexities of the department P&L, accruals, client allocations, the impact of capitalization, recovery and fixed price contracts in order to improve operational efficiency and productivity.
-Vendor Management - help coordinate contract negotiation and legal requirements and work with Planning and Controls through to contract execution.
-Program/Project Management - help provide oversight of business critical reporting processes and various other executive / client / management reporting processes. Ensure quality, efficiency and accuracy throughout the reporting process.
-Staff / Resource Management -imbed processes in the technology organization that ensures ongoing headcount is always accurate, and real estate is inventoried and planned.
-Communication - work with the team and respective Technology leads on the communication strategy (e.g. town halls, new hire events) for the department.
-People Strategy - work with the CIO, Technology management teams, and HR to actively support team strategy and expansion.
Qualifications:Education and Experience:

-Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or related graduate degree preferred.
-8+ years as a Business Manager/ Chief of Staff, preferably in the areas of Product Manager, -Program Manager, or a Business Planning role within a technology setting.
-At least 10 years of experience in strategy, stakeholder and project management.
-Ability to communicate and influence all levels from senior executives to individual contributors.
-Understanding of technology industry trends, and strong aptitude to understand and communicate ECU’s product roadmap.
-Experience working with external c-level partners and an understanding of consumer products, exchanges and platforms within finance.
-Ability to work across multiple functions including sales, communications, finance and having experience and knowledge within product, engineering, marketing, legal, HR and operations.
-Effective program management skills with demonstrated abilities to lead complex strategic and operational initiatives.
-Demonstrated success in managing deliverables within aggressive timeframes; ability to cope under time pressures.
-Proven ability to conduct research/analysis, organize findings and build presentations.
-Committed to the highest levels of integrity, ethics and professionalism.
