Duties:Summary/Objective:

Plans, manages, and monitors projects from concept through implementation. Monitors and drives project performance by implementing project management and Scrum leading practices. Provides input to the improvement of project management processes and methodologies to ensure assigned projects are delivered on time, meet high quality standards, and Leadership expectations.

Responsible for leading and monitoring all aspects of the scrum processes and scrum ceremonies for multiple project teams. Coach teams to increase team efficiency, motivates the team, and strives to continuously improve team activities to ensure quality and timeliness. Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects of moderate to high complexity, while training and mentoring others in the use of Project Management and Agile/Scrum tools and techniques.

Promote Agile Scrum adoption and transformation across the company including mentoring, guiding and consulting on applying Agile Scrum methodologies. Utilize in-depth knowledge in the application of Project Management, Scrum and Kanban practices and experience to be able to inspect and adapt thinking/practices to various situations. Work with several (mainly) co-located teams, helping them to fully understand how to apply Project Management and the Agile framework to delivering solutions in a complex financial services environment.

Essential Functions include:

-Act as a ScrumMaster for multiple, complex Scrum teams and mentor team members on Scrum principles and techniques
-Work with the Program Manager to develop the scope and project objectives, define the role and function of each team member, and effectively coordinate the activities of the team.
-Work with and support the Program Manager/Product Owner to capture and record customer requirements and user stories, project constraints, decisions/risk and assumptions with stakeholders, and establish project deliverables.
-Closely monitor project resources, tasks, risks and milestones. Make course corrections when necessary using defined procedures.
-Facilitate and implement the approved actions and workarounds required to mitigate project risk events in order to minimize the impact of the risks on the project
-Participate with Program Manager in ongoing stakeholder meetings and working sessions in order to announce the start of the project, complete work throughout the project and continuously review project plan, schedules and gain consensus.
-Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving.
-Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information.
-Work with team members on the development of project artifacts.
-Lead, arrange, and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies and provide reporting as defined by internal Scrum process.
-Ensure daily task status and hours are updated daily by team to provide transparency on velocity and sprint sprint/release progress.
-Track and communicate team velocity and sprint/release progress to all affected teams and management using Agile estimating techniques
-Assist Portfolio Manager in the coordination and reporting of multiple projects
-Build a trusting and safe environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or judgement, with an emphasis on healing and problem-solving. Facilitate discussion, decision making, and conflict resolution to improve team productivity while promoting continuous improvement without coercion, assigning, or dictating the work.
-Facilitate teams in making appropriate commitments through story selection and task definition
-Guide the team in the use of Agile/Scrum practices and values to self-organize and get the most out of self-organization.
-Improve team performance by building team cohesiveness, leading, mentoring, training, and motivating in order to facilitate cooperation, ensure project efficiency, and boost morale
-Remove impediments or guide the team to remove impediments by finding the right people at the right time
-Work with the Program Manager or Product Owner to complete grooming and maintaining the product backlog. Understand the content and priorities of the product backlog.
-Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example.
-Assist the Program Manager and ScrumMasters in capturing and recording customer requirements, constraints, decisions/risk and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables, using multiple tools including brainstorming, working sessions, or other appropriate tools.
-Facilitate training activities and creation of training content to onboard employees to scrum processes and support organizational Agile transformation
-Remain current on leading practices in scrum delivery framework and cascade learnings to Scrum Masters
-Special projects in support of EPMO objectives as assigned
-Provide support to the team using a servant leadership style whenever possible, and leading by example
